Two people have died in separate motorbike crashes in the Gold Coast hinterland.

A 19-year-old Gleneagle man died when the motorbike he was riding collided with a car on Clagiraba Road, Claigiraba, at 3:10pm on Monday.

The car's driver, a 65-year-old man from Beechmont, was not injured.

Just hours earlier, the body of a 40-year-old man was discovered at Beechmont, about 15 kilometres south-west.

Queensland Police said the man from Canungra was riding a motorbike along Beechmont Road, between Farm Grove Road and Windabout Road, when he lost control and crashed.

His body was found nearby at about 11:15am on Monday.

He had been reported missing since Friday.
