PHOENIX — The on-ramp for Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) westbound at 27th Avenue will be closed for an extended period of time.

According to ADOT, the section of roadway will be closed for 60 days beginning Oct. 6.

The closure is part of the widening project for I-17.

ADOT said drivers can use the on-ramp at 35th Avenue as an alternative.

The $140 million I-17 widening project began in September 2024 and is expected to be completed by spring 2024. Find out more information about it by clicking here .
