LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A judge who has presided over Las Vegas Municipal Court Department 2 is retiring after 14 years on the bench.

Judge Susan Roger told Las Vegas leaders she will step down on Nov. 4, 2025.

Roger began her legal career in the Clark County District Attorney's Office in 2000. She is the wife of former Clark County District Attorney David Roger, who served in that role from 2003 to 2012. He is now the attorney for the Las Vegas Police Protective Association.

A city news release initially said Susan Roger is resigning, but David Roger told 8 News Now that she is retiring. Shortly after this story went online, the city sent a revised news release saying she is retiring.

The Las Vegas City Council will now begin the process to replace Roger. It will be discussed at the Oct. 1
