LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — According to a release from the city of Las Vegas, Judge Susan Roger plans to resign her position effective Nov. 4.
Roger was elected to the bench in 2011 and has presided over Department 2 since then, the release said, adding that she began her legal career in 2000 at the Clark County district attorney’s office.
“The Las Vegas City Council will now begin the process to select a replacement for Judge Roger,” the release said. “The formal process will be discussed at the Oct. 15 City Council meeting.”
The release said that anyone interested in the position can apply online. The person, who must be selected by Dec. 4, will serve until the next general election cycle in 2026.
