WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — Wichita police say there’s been a positive trend when it comes to gun and auto thefts across the city. But despite that progress, officers and community leaders say a troubling rise in youth-involved shootings has them calling for action.

On Sunday night, residents came together for a candlelight vigil to honor the lives lost to gun violence and to call for change.
