The deadline to register to vote is Monday night.

If you're among those who are unregistered but want to get a ballot for the November election, you must act by 12 a.m. Tuesday online. Or you can register in person until 9 p.m. at the Hamilton County Board of Elections. Advertisement

At the Early Vote Center Monday, staff members were running through the final checklist in order to be ready for early voters at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Mail-in ballots that voters requested start going out tomorrow.

Elections Director Sherry Poland said there were roughly 5,000 requests so far, about the same as most previous off-year elections.

"I would say my experience is that mail-in voting is about holding steady,” said Poland. "What is gaining in popularity is early in-person voting."
