When Antonio Gibson left the field at Highmark Stadium on Sunday night, the Patriots running back appeared to have suffered a significant knee injury in their upset win over the Bills.
The news on Monday, after an MRI, bore out those fears. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport , Gibson, 27, tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.
Gibson, who is both part of the Patriots running back rotation and a kick leaves New England with just Rhamondre Stevenson and TraVeyon Henderson in their running back rotation.
Gibson was returning a kickoff when he took a big hit from Bills cornerback Cam Lewis. He limped off the field and was visibly emotional as he went to the locker room.
