LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Junior Bridgeman, one of Louisville basketball’s most celebrated players, will have his No. 10 jersey retired on Dec. 13 during the Cardinals’ home game against Memphis.
Bridgeman played at Louisville from 1972 to 1975 and will become the sixth player in U of L men’s basketball history to receive this honor.
He scored 1,348 points, helped the Cardinals reach the 1975 Final Four, and won two Missouri Valley Conference titles.
“Junior Bridgeman will forever be a Louisville Cardinal," U of L Athletics Director Josh Heird said in a news release. "On the court, he gave us unforgettable moments. Off the court, he carried himself with unmatched humility and class. His name and number will now hang in our rafters, an enduring symbol of the extraordinary mark he made on
