FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s emergency management team will soon be under one roof.

Sheriff Kyle Bacon said it took a team effort and five long years to make the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) a reality.

This expansion of the jail and sheriff’s office is designed to support the county’s emergency response and crisis communications activities.

It will create a one-stop shop for the county’s emergency management team and the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Bacon said having everyone in one place will make preparing for emergencies, such as tornadoes, more efficient.
