ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Birmingham man is dead after a fatal crash occurred Monday, Oct. 6 in Etowah County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says that around 7:50 a.m., 57-year-old, Abdul Hakeem Najee Rashad was fatally injured when the 2007 GMC Canyon he was driving left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree.
ALEA says that Rashad was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to ALEA, the crash occurred on U.S. 278 near the 112 mile marker, about one mile west of Walnut Grove.
