OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Power was restored to around 800 OG&E customers in one northwest Oklahoma City neighborhood on Monday. The area went dark Sunday afternoon after a power pole snapped in half. Several nearby businesses had to close early because of the outage.

Scott Cahill and his friend, Parker Jackson, were working on Cahill’s home when they suddenly started hearing loud popping noises. "We came running down the stairs and there's flashes and we're like damn, get the dogs in, get the dogs in," said Jackson.

The two men saw power lines sparking in the backyard and the snapped power pole dangling in a neighbor’s yard.
