WINTHROP – Five first-half goals helped lift Masconomet to a 6-0 girls soccer victory over Northeastern Conference foe Winthrop.
The Chieftains (10-2) earned a fifth consecutive victory, and they have not allowed a goal during this stretch. Head coach Alison Lecesse said her team has developed a strong passing game over this period, and the ability to mix in a larger roster of players is something that will help them going forward.
“We had some really great passing, moving the ball really well, and we got a lot of subs in, which is great,” Lecesse said. “We got some combinations that we wanted to see.”
