CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Over 300 Cincinnati Public School students do not have a place to sleep at night, oftentimes sleeping in their parents’ cars. To make that experience a little less difficult, the school district is trying a new approach.
Cincinnati Public Schools is offering a secure lot for families to sleep in their vehicles on school property.
Project Connect Program Coordinator Rebeka Beach says for 15 years she’s watched student homelessness grow.
“Every year we have just been seeking additional funding because of the need. The need just continues to grow,” she tells FOX19 NOW. “We don’t want any child to have nowhere to go.”
