WILLISTON, Fla. ( WCJB /Gray News) - Three people were killed when a plane crashed into a field in Florida on Sunday night.

Emergency crews in Levy County responded to the deadly plane crash in a peanut field that is owned by Fugate Farms, southwest of the city of Williston.

All three people aboard the plane were killed, according to officials in Levy County.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board responded with local authorities to the crash.

According to aviation tracking company FlightAware , the plane was a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron 58P registered to a company out of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Records show the flight took off from an airport in Springfield, Kentucky , and was scheduled to land at the Williston Airport.
