SOAP LAKE, Wash. – A wildfire near Soap Lake, Washington, has been fully contained after burning approximately 150 acres of heavy sagebrush.
Firefighters worked diligently to achieve 85% containment by 4:15 p.m., and the fire was fully contained by 5:25 p.m, Grant County Fire District 13 said in a release.
Crews are now focusing on mopping up hot spots.
The fire posed no risk to the public, and there were no traffic impacts in the sparsely populated area.
