The loss of a son is something Loretta Eze deals with daily.
“There is nothing we can do to bring him back,” Loretta said.
Loretta lost her son after he was stopped by police.
On Aug. 2, 2022, police were called to a Chevron gas station in Las Cruces after a store clerk accused a man of stealing a beer.
The man accused was Presley Eze. Body cam video shows police get Eze out of a vehicle. Eze and one of the officers fall to the ground.

According to a criminal complaint, Eze was trying to grab one of the officer’s Tasers, while he was on top of him.
Another officer shoots Eze in the head from point-blank range.
“You shoot somebody in the head, you want you dead. So, he came out that day to kill my
