Peoria, Ill. (WMBD) -- I've just returned from a trip to Europe with about 20 WMBD viewers. The trip was a two week journey that had us flying to Switzerland then hopping on a river boat for a cruise down the Rhine River to the Netherlands. The tour had stops in Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands before we flew back to the U.S.

Lucerne, Switzerland

We spent the first two days in the beautiful city of Lucerne, Switzerland. Shortly after we arrived we took a trip across Lake Lucerne to hop on a cogwheel train to the top of Mount Rigi. Poor weather and fog made it impossible to fully enjoy the beautiful views, but once we dropped through clouds on a gondola the views were breathtaking!
