PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - As protests continue outside the ICE facility in Portland, different groups are planning to file use of force and civil rights violation lawsuits in the coming days against both federal agents and local law enforcement.
These law suits are coming from opposite sides of the political divide.
Some anti-ICE protesters told FOX 12 their civil rights were violated by federal agents using excessive force so they are drafting a lawsuit against the federal government.
Meanwhile, conservative influencer Nick Sortor said it was the Portland Police Bureau who violated his rights when he was arrested.
Both cases stem from last Thursday night when crowds of protesters gathered outside the ICE building on McAdam in South Portland.
