COLUMBIA COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - At least three people were detained this weekend by federal agents at the ICE facility in Portland were then transported to the Columbia County Jail - where they were held for over 24 hours each.

The ICE facility is located in Multnomah County, but it is still up to federal officers where they take suspects for jail time. The Columbia County Jail has agreements with the US Marshals to house inmates on federal detainers - so long as it’s not for immigration-related enforcement.

As for the three detained this weekend, two were released this morning and not charged with any crimes, according to the group Portland Contra Las Deportaciones. They were identified as Elijah Thahir and Leticia Navarro.
