Rowan County man now accused of killing two women

CHINA GROVE — South Rowan’s trip to Carson on Tuesday will decide the South Piedmont Conference volleyball championship.

South Rowan (16-4, 11-1) had a big win against third-place East Rowan last week to stay in contention for the title. South’s only SPC loss was at home in its first match with Carson.

Carson (21-3, 11-1) has looked powerful since the season started, but a recent loss to East (15-10, 9-3) made things interesting in the SPC. East has lost twice to South and split with Carson.

West Rowan (9-8, 7-5) is 0-5 against the top three, but has a firm grip on fourth place in the league.
