BALTIMORE — For 18 seasons, John Harbaugh has been the coaching face of a Baltimore Ravens organization that has never reached NFL dynasty status but generally has done a good job of being a viable challenger to the dynasties it chased.

Like his team, Harbaugh has been consistent and workmanlike. The successes have far outnumbered the failures. But the inability to win enough on the grandest stages has seemed to irk many Ravens fans.
