RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- As the government shutdown extends into day 7, there are growing concerns over the impacts on travel.

ABC11 was able to reach the control tower at RDU, and workers said they are fully staffed with no callouts impacting the flight tower.

But the longer the shutdown goes on it is always something in the back of their mind.

Some passengers landing at RDU say traveling during the shutdown they were worried about the potential for delays.

As callouts have already reached places like Burbank and other airports , national air traffic controller union representatives are calling for end to the shutdown.
