WACO, Texas — Week two of the annual Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo is underway, bringing crowds, concerts and classic fair fun to the Extraco Events Center in Waco.

Fair spokesperson Erin James said attendance has been strong so far, with more than 200,000 people visiting the fair each year.

“Friday night we had a very great attendance — higher than last year,” James said. “Every other day stayed pretty similar to last year, so we’re happy with the turnout. It’s been great weather, which has helped us for sure.”

Thousands packed the fairgrounds during the first week to enjoy rides, live concerts and food favorites. Inside the Expo Center, participants like Hope Douglas and Sadie Weier showed goats as part of the Greater Central Texas Fair and FFA events.
