PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - Sitting at 5-0, ranked 18th in the country, the BYU football team has not exactly beaten any elite teams yet.
But the schedule is about to change.
The Cougars will face 4-1 this Saturday in Tucson, before taking on Utah, #22 Iowa State, #9 Texas Tech and TCU, which just fell out of the top-25. But the Cougars are eager to show they can play with the best.
"We always know we're going to get their best shot, and we're always going to give our best shot," said BYU defensive lineman John Taumoepeau. "So, we're very excited by the competition, very excited about the teams that we're going against and really get to prove to the nation what what type of team we are."
During Friday's 38-24 win over West Virginia, Jack Kelly and Isaiah Glasker both suffered injuries.
