Drivers are advised to use caution and allow extra travel time through the affected areas

Portions of Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard will face lane and traffic restrictions this week as Caltrans continues emergency repairs related to the Palisades Fire, officials announced.

The work, scheduled from Oct. 6 through Oct. 12, will affect several stretches of PCH between Sunset Boulevard and Carbon Beach Terrace, where crews continue post-fire and utility repair work.

Traffic speeds will remain reduced through the area, with a 45 mph limit between McClure Tunnel and Temescal Canyon Road, 35 mph between Temescal and Sunset, and single-lane closures with a 25 mph limit from Sunset to Carbon Beach between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, according to Caltrans.
