Rajajinagar Police have arrested actor, director, and producer Hemanth following a complaint by an actress accusing him of sexual harassment, coercion, and financial fraud. The arrest came after the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on her allegations.

According to the complaint, the actress was introduced to Hemanth in 2022 and was cast as the lead in his film Richie. The agreement stipulated a remuneration of Rs 2 lakh, of which Hemanth initially paid an advance of Rs 60,000.

The actress alleges that as the film’s shooting faced delays, Hemanth began pressuring her to wear “obscene clothes" and perform “obscene acts." She further claims that he made inappropriate physical advances and continued to harass her during a trip to Mumbai. When she resisted his demands,
