New Delhi, Oct 07: Union Power Minister Manohar Lal will represent India at the G20 Energy Transitions Ministerial Meeting in South Africa from October 7-10.
This meeting, hosted under South Africa’s G20 Presidency, will focus on enhancing international cooperation for affordable and sustainable energy, critical for economic growth and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The minister will discuss India’s advancements in renewable energy, highlighting that 50% of India’s power capacity now comes from renewable sources. He will also address energy access challenges in rural areas and advocate for global collaborative efforts toward a just energy transition in line with the vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.”
