Arson suspected after car found burning in Youngstown neighborhood

YOUNGSTOWN Flames from a burning car lit up a neighborhood on Youngstown’s South Side early Tuesday.

Dispatchers got a call that a car was on fire in a field at East Marion and Belleview Avenues shortly before 3 a.m.

The first firefighter to arrive reported that flames had spread throughout the car. They found no one in or near the car.

An arson investigator is trying to find out how the fire started and who owns the car.
