Poundland has confirmed a significant u-turn after previously announcing more than a dozen store closure plans. The discount retailer confirmed that it has reached new agreements with landlords at three sites that were originally set to close this month.
Now, the Poundland locations at Livingston, Porthcawl, and Musselburgh will instead close temporarily and reopen later this month. It comes after the stores had begun cleareance sales in anticipation of an inevitable closure.
Meanwhile, an additional three Poundland locations will start their clearance sales this week as they prepare to close down for good. They are part of 15 other stores offering clearance sales, offering discounts of up to 40 per cent on select items.
