As we work through this Tuesday, we're starting off with those lingering showers and thunderstorms that we talked about. The good news is they are expected to push out of the area from north to south fairly quickly this morning, allowing for some clearing and mostly sunny skies to develop this afternoon. However, despite the sunshine, it will be noticeably cooler today, with highs struggling to get out of the 60s, which is a bit cooler than what we might typically expect this time of year. We will be monitoring a weak system moving across the area late tonight and into Wednesday morning; it may generate a bit of lake-effect cloudiness or perhaps a few isolated sprinkles near the lake in northeast Illinois, but
