A woman was taken to hospital and a number of people were passed into the care of paramedics following a crash in Ashford . The incident happened on Monday at around 4pm on the A28 Canterbury Road.

The crash involved two vehicles. One woman was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention, Kent Police said.

Two fire engines attended, and firefighters helped to create space for paramedics and made the scene safe, Kent Fire and Rescue service said.

A KFRS spokesperson said: "All people involved were passed into the care of SECAmb."

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Officers and paramedics attended the scene where a woman was treated for injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.
