JAKARTA, Oct 7: The number of people who died under the rubble following the collapse of a boarding school in the Indonesian city of Sidoarjo has risen to 67, and the search for survivors has been completed, National Search and Rescue Agency said today.

The multi-story building of the religious boarding school collapsed last Monday as students were gathering for afternoon prayers. Previously, 63 deaths were reported.

“Out of a total of 171 people, 67 died,” Agency’s Operations Director Yudhi Bramantyo said at a press conference broadcast by the National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure, adding that during the searches for eight deceased children, only body parts could be found.
