By-election for the Dampa Assembly constituency in Mizoram’s north-western Mamit district will be held on November 11, announced the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday.

The poll will coincide with the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections and bypolls in seven other states.

According to the ECI’s schedule, the last date for filing nominations is October 21, followed by scrutiny on October 22.

Candidates can withdraw their nominations till October 24, and counting of votes will take place on November 14.
