WINDBER — Chan Soon-Shiong Institute of Molecular Medicine at Windber has published the first proteogenomic study of breast cancers in young women compared to cancers in their older counterparts.

The study’s findings contribute to the understanding of what underlies worse cancer outcomes in young women, and is to inform new therapeutic strategies, the institute said in a press release.
