‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ includes immersive pre-show lobby experience, special guest spellers

TheaterWorks is buzzing with excitement to present “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” running Oct. 24-Nov. 9, at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 10580 N. 83rd Dr.

The audience experience of this Tony award-winning musical comedy begins the moment attendees step through the doors.

For this production, TheaterWorks is transforming the performing arts center into Putnam Valley Middle School, immersing patrons in the quirky, colorful world of the spelling bee before they even take their seats. With interactive elements, spontaneous character encounters, and immersive surprises, audiences will feel like they’re part of the bee from the very start.
