SAULT STE. MARIE — Sanderson Field has a new airport manager.

Chandler Cass has been appointed to replace former manager Tom Brown, who had served in the role since 2019.

Cass, 26, is a Federal Aviation Administration-certified commercial pilot with more than six years of experience in aircraft sales, general aviation and fixed-base operations.

As airport manager, Cass will oversee the transition of Sanderson Field’s operations from a fixed-base operator to in-house management.
