CARLISLE, Pa, (WHTM) -- A local diner in Cumberland County announced earlier this week that it has closed its doors.
Over the weekend, on Sunday, October 5 the locally owned Moonlight Diner, which is located at 1400 Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle, announced that it had made the difficult decision to close its doors.

Moonlight Diner says the reason for the sudden closure is due to rising prices, coupled with "bills getting higher every day", which made it impossible to continue.
"We’ve poured our love, time, and hearts into this place, and what made it truly special was you - the people who supported us, shared meals, laughter, and memories within these walls," Moonlight Diner shared on Facebook." Thank you for every visit,
