A bizarre and unsettling case has emerged from Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a man has made extraordinary claims about his wife’s behaviour.

The man, identified as Meraj, submitted a formal petition during Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas (Complete Solution Day) chaired by the District Magistrate, pleading for protection. In his petition, he wrote, “Sir, please save me from my wife. At night, she turns into a snake and bites us.”

The District Magistrate has taken note of the complaint and ordered an inquiry into the matter, News18 reported. Since the petition went public, it has sparked widespread disbelief, curiosity and even humour among locals.
