NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) -- A vehicle crash is causing delays on I-64 in Newport News Tuesday morning.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the east left shoulder and left lane, as well as the west left shoulder, west left lane and west center lane are closed on I-64 near Fort Eustis Boulevard as a result of two separate crashes.

VDOT states the westbound crash involves a tractor-trailer. Backups are approximately 4 miles in the westbound lanes.

Traffic cam of the scene shows heavy traffic on both sides, with a vehicle stuck in the median between the west and eastbound lanes.
