CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — No charges will be filed after a man's death, according to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, officers were called to the 4000 block of Queen City Drive, where they found a 35-year-old Rogerick Llevon Currie shot. Currie was taken to a local hospital but later passed away.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, CMPD announced that Currie's death has been classified as a justified homicide. Authoties have not released details on what led up to the shooting or what led to this decision.
CMPD says the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office agrees with the CMPD Homicide Unit that no one should be charged in this case. Currie's family has been notified.
