Don’t worry, rain-lovers, 70-degree temperatures are on their way out, and cool, wet fall weather is coming back in.
Seattle saw temperatures in the low 70s on Monday that will carry into Tuesday with a high of 72 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The warmer, dry weather might’ve been a nice break from our descent into the cozy season, but it’s not quite normal for this time of year, said meteorologist Melissa Gonzalez-Fuentes. Offshore winds from the east across the Cascades were blowing in warmer air.
A round of weather systems is bringing a chance of showers throughout the rest of the week into the weekend, Gonzalez-Fuentes said, which will bring temperatures down. Highs will top out in the low 60s.
