BLOOMINGDALE, Ohio — The health technologies program at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School is inviting the community to help save lives by donating blood during its upcoming blood drive on Oct. 28.
The drive will run from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the school’s health technology lab at 1509 County Highway 22A in Bloomingdale. Students in the program will assist with registration and canteen duties, while medical staff from the American Red Cross will handle blood collection.
Health technologies instructor Tammy Sismondo said past drives have collected more than 30 units of blood and she hopes this year’s turnout will be just as strong.
"We do take walk-ins, and people can also register online," Sismondo said. "Students can sign up as well."
This is the first of three blood drives pla
