COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced on Tuesday that the skeletal remains of a man found 36 years ago have been identified.

The remains were discovered on Nov. 3, 1989, on Walcutt Road in western Franklin County.

Yost and Franklin County Coroner Dr. Nate Overmire announced that the remains belong to Ernest Emerson Carter, who was born in 1923. Very little is known about his life or death, according to the attorney general’s office.
