The area being monitored by the National Hurricane Center in the Atlantic became Tropical Storm Jerry Tuesday morning. It's the 10th named storm of the 2025 hurricane season.

No coastal watches or warnings are in effect. And at this time, there's no threat to the South Florida coast.

Where is Jerry?

With the 5 p.m. advisory, Jerry is about 1,190 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. It is packing maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and moving west at 23 mph.

Jerry is expected to continue moving west-northwest over the next few days toward or just north of the Leeward Islands.
