Sikkim Govt’s Diwali Gift: DA/ DR Hiked by 6% for those under 6th CPC and by 2% for those under 7th CPC.

In some good news for state government employees of Sikkim ahead of Diwali, the Prem Singh Tamang Government has on Tuesday announced a hike in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief effective January 1, 2025.

According to a circular issued by the Finance Department, the Governor has approved the following enhancements:

For Employees/Pensioners drawing pre-revised basic pay (6th CPC): The DA/DR rate is enhanced from the existing 246% to 252% of the pre-revised basic pay structure. This represents a 6 percentage point increase.

For Employees/Pensioners drawing revised basic pay (7th CPC): The DA/DR rate is enhanced from the existing 53% to 55% of the revised basic pay structure. This
