NORMAL ( 25News Now ) - A half-dozen businesses holding liquor licenses in Normal have paid hundreds of dollars in fines for selling alcohol to underage customers.
Three of the six establishments are repeat offenders, including two prominent businesses in Uptown Normal.
Hacienda Leon at 1 Uptown Circle paid the biggest penalty, $1000 for providing alcohol to a customer younger than 21. It was the restaurant’s third offense since last year.
The Bloomington Normal Marriott, also Uptown, committed its second offense since 2024, and was fined $500.
Two-time offender Heaterz Hot Chicken at 100 South Fell also paid $500.
Three first-time offenders paid $250 penalties. They are Diamonds at 616 West Raab Road, Debbie’s at 1608 Northbrook Drive, and Clarion Pointe at 6 Traders Circle.
