The coroner was called to the scene after a train hit a pedestrian Tuesday morning in Dauphin County.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m., although an exact time is unclear based on dispatch logs.
The Amtrak police department called Dauphin County dispatch to report a pedestrian vs. train incident in the vicinity of Harrisburg International Airport and the Wawa on Route 230 in Lower Swatara Township.
Amtrak and Norfolk Southern trains were shut down.
