Issa Rae joined thousands of other runners the 2025 Portland Marathon in Portland, Oregon, on Oct. 5, but she's the first to admit she's not sure why.

In a relatable moment, the “Insecure” star, 40, crossed the finish line and then said , "I can't believe I did that. I don't know why I did that."

"Why did I do that?" she asked, shrugging her shoulders. "I didn't have to do that."

More than 12,000 runners participated in the Portland Marathon this year, according to OregonLive , the digital home of The Oregonian newspaper.

Rae, who finished the race in four hours, 16 minutes and 46 seconds, shared images and videos from the marathon on her personal Instagram account.
