EL DORADO, Kan. (KSNW) -- A Rose Hill man, who, along with his wife, was charged in connection with the death of their adopted daughter, Kennedy Schroer, has entered a guilty plea.
A status conference hearing was held on Tuesday in Butler County District Court. The conference was held one week before his jury trial was set to begin on charges of two counts of aggravated endangering a child, making false information, Medicaid fraud, and interference with law enforcement.
Schroer instead pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated endangering a child, while the other counts were dismissed. Sentencing is set for December 3.
In August, his wife, Crystina Schroer, pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of second-degree murder, child abuse, making false information, and theft of more than $15,
