WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- North suburban residents and politicians are expected to speak out Tuesday afternoon on escalating immigration enforcement in Lake County.

Congressman Brad Schneider, Sen. Adriane Johnson, Sen. Mary Edly-Allen and community groups are expected to speak.

A news release said federal immigration agents took people into custody Monday at the College of Lake County Lakeshore Campus, in Park City, at Home Depot locations in Waukegan and Vernon Hills and outside City Hall in Waukegan.

"ICE is conducting warrantless vehicle stops, and using racial profiling to abduct community members in Lake County and across the Chicagoland region," the release said.
